Wind energy is a key pillar in the transition to renewable energy, synergizing strongly with photovoltaic energy. The Monte Mesa wind farm exemplifies the successful integration of large wind turbines into the landscape, and visiting it provides insights into how, when carefully designed, such infrastructures have minimal environmental impact and can even enhance local tourism.

The event includes a tour of the wind farm, featuring 6 turbines of 2 MW each, located at the entrance to the Adige Valley and part of Legambiente’s network of wind parks. The tour will be led by Marco Giusti, engineer at AGSM AIM and the wind farm’s designer, along with Professor Mario Grosso, a lecturer in Climate Change Mitigation at Politecnico di Milano.
