On March 22 and 23, two days will be dedicated to the topic of sustainability for the regional territories. On the first day there will be a workshop dedicated to the presentation of the Sustainable Development Agenda of the Metropolitan City of Milan, while on March 23 there will be a conference aimed at the construction of a new collaborative season to accompany the territories.

During the day before the Conference, there will be in Milan the workshop "Strategies for the implementation of the Agenda for Sustainable Development of the Metropolitan City of Milan". The event, organized by the Metropolitan City of Milan, has the goal of illustrating to the Municipalities and to the actors of the territory the work done in the last two years leading to the definition of the metropolitan strategies, in order to change the direction of the policies of the Metropolitan City, its plans and programs by indicating a new key for public decision makers, for the Municipalities and for the individual offices.

The workshop will be divided into two parts: the presentation of the guidelines of the Metropolitan Urban Agenda for Sustainable Development and the organization of 4 discussion tables on the topics that have proved to be fundamental in the construction of the Metropolitan Strategy: governance, measuring sustainability, training, best practices.

The construction of the Metropolitan Urban Agenda for Sustainable Development was an opportunity for CMM to become aware of the meaning and value of the 2030 Agenda in order to decline it at the territorial level. With the work of the day this awareness is shared with the territory and becomes a moment of confrontation. The functions of the tools created within the framework of the Metropolitan Agenda will be illustrated and then placed at the base to stimulate conversation on some of the Goals of the 2030 Agenda that are of close interest to our territory. It will be an opportunity to see in concrete terms how the preliminary knowledge It will be an opportunity to see in practice how the preliminary knowledge of data and trends of the context we are discussing is an advantage and a measure to be able to face challenges and make choices that focus on the vectors of development more suitable and consistent with the vision of a metropolitan city that makes a transition not only green but also fair.

The round tables also want to be a moment of sharing and networking among those who are already active in the area and who are carrying out actions and projects of sustainable development. The intention is to continue to create a network and accelerate, through the knowledge that the Metropolitan City can provide, the path of an entire community towards sustainability. The meeting will conclude with a reflection among the various levels of governance on how to get to territorialize sustainable development strategies and how the tool of NetLab can facilitate this fundamental process.

This day represents the end of the work of defining the contents of the Agenda, but above all the start of the grounding of sustainable development objectives, consistent with the needs and peculiarities of the metropolitan area of Milan.
