On the route from the Pomilio Refuge (1888 m asl) on the Majelletta to Mount Focalone via the "Fusco" bivouac (2455 m asl), representatives of Abruzzo universities in the RUS will meet for a direct experience to verify the effects of climate change on the fragile consistency of the mountain environment. In particular, they will focus on plant species that due to their limited distribution and dogged ability to survive in hostile environments are peculiar to the Abruzzo Apennines and are the most threatened by climate change.
