Climbing for Climate is a "demonstrative" event to raise local and national public awareness on the climate crisis issue and the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN Agenda 2030.

The first edition, organized by Università degli Studi di Brescia (UniBs) with the support of the Brescia branch of the Italian Alpine Club (CAI), took place on July 19, 2019. Rectors and Rectors' delegates, as well as the President of the RUS, climbed up the glacier of Mount Adamello. 

The 2019 event at the Adamello Glacier marked the start of a series of climbing annual events, featuring RUS universities and their territories.
