ITINERARY
The event, proposed by the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, the CAI section of Cava de' Tirreni and the CAI Campania Regional Group, is an approximately 3-hour excursion. The path will focus on the importance of water, a common good strongly threatened by Climate Change, and its sustainable, inclusive use and its management.. The features of the path will also allow for an emphasis on the value of historical memory, through the discovery of the traces of the past and the historical-cultural traditions of the area providing useful insights to discuss the changes in the landscape due to Climate Change. From a naturalistic point of view, it will be shown and discussed the link between water and the distribution of natural vegetation. In as well, the excursion will allow observation of the link between climate change and alteration of ecosystem structure and function related to the spread of alien species.
The chosen path crosses areas of significant naturalistic importance, rich in water and springs, and at the same time is site of important archaeological findings related to the use and management of water, which are little known as it is now totally hidden in nature.
