Description
A campaign to raise awareness about food waste in university canteens and on social media; the creation of a survey to increase awareness about food waste and promote good habits, such as not taking bread only to waste it (as it is the most wasted food) and bringing a water bottle and a container to take home leftovers.
- Present in university canteens in Genoa for 3 days (November 20-22) to engage and distribute the survey
- Social media campaign by all partners and reposted by SERR social media to promote good habits and encourage survey participation
- Distribution of water bottles to freshmen simultaneously
- Surveys completed: 36 online and 181 in canteens.
- 88% are aware of food waste in canteens / 32% don't know they can take home leftover food with a container / 47% don't know that leftover food is thrown away even if still intact (e.g., bread)
