Technological, organizational and social transformations towards carbon neutrality

Following COP26, an event many believe to be the world’s best last chance to get runaway climate change under control, the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASVIS), the Santa Chiara Lab – Università di Siena and the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UN SDSN) have launched the Siena International School on Sustainable Development 2022.

The school is propoted by Rete Universitaria Italiana per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile (RUS), Enel Foundation and SDSN Europa.

More than 300 participants, from more than 60 countries, will attend this new edition.

The training course, held entirely in English, engages students in three phases:

• self-learning to strengthen individual competences through online courses (selected thanks to the support of the SDG Academy) on general topics and the three sectors most involved in the decarbonization process energy, agri-food and industrial (14-23 March)
• 12 online webinars with internationally renowned experts and scholars on the challenges, problems, technologies and solutions in the decarbonization process, the public policies and regulations, and the role of finance and private sector (23 March - 20 May) 
• 5 days on-campus classes and interactive workshops on future implications and solutions, held by international experts and high-profile professors, carried out at the Santa Chiara Lab - University of Siena from 13 to 18 June 2022.

This in presence phase will be attended by 30 best candidates.
