Multidisciplinary University Course on Rights Education (CUMED) - "The Rights of Children and Adolescents in the Evolving Complex Society"

The CUMED is designed through the collaboration between UNICEF and the four universities of Piedmont.

The collaboration between UNICEF and Italian universities has always been a source of highly valuable academic experiences in the promotion of children's and adolescents' rights.

Since 1987, the year when the first CUMED (Multidisciplinary University Course on Rights Education) was realized with the University of Padua, this initiative has gained increasing importance, involving numerous Italian universities.

Today, after this historic journey that has led to the establishment of numerous significant experiences in over 20 Italian universities, UNICEF Italy promotes the initiative in a renewed format, asking universities for an even more central contribution to the realization of its mandate to promote rights.

In the context of the Piedmont Region, the Multidisciplinary University Course on Rights Education is designed thanks to the collaboration with four different universities: the University of Turin, the University of Eastern Piedmont, the Polytechnic University of Turin, and the University of Gastronomic Sciences.

The course offers an opportunity to delve into the rights of children and adolescents within the contemporary framework, through contributions from the different universities and UNICEF, with the aim of consolidating knowledge and awareness regarding the complexity of global scenarios and the protection of minors at both national and international levels.
