RUS Sicilia
The RUS Sicilia Network (RUSS) was established in april 2024. The explicit goal of the RUSS subnetwork is to promote and encourage cooperation among Sicilian universities aimed at spreading the culture and best practices of sustainability, both within their own university communities and in their reference territories at various scales, urban, regional, and in the Mediterranean context.
The actions promoted by RUSS and its members aim at enhancing knowledge and increasing its social impact, to amplify the positive environmental, ethical, social, and economic effects of the actions undertaken by its members. This is also achieved through strengthening the recognition and value of the Sicilian experience in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN's 2030 Agenda.
Universities involved: Università degli Studi di Catania, Università degli Studi di Messina, Università degli Studi di Palermo.
Lead University for the period april 2024 - june 2025: Università degli Studi di Palermo.
