In June 2024, the Venetian universities participating in RUS launched the RUS Veneto Subnetwork with the aim of promoting the culture and best practices of sustainability and creating common areas of intervention at the regional level.

For years, joint initiatives on sustainable development have been launched at the Veneto Region level to promote the diffusion of sustainability culture inside and outside the Universities, also through collaborations with local entities in the Veneto region. Examples include the Sustainable Art Prize and the Memorandum of Understanding on Green Public Procurement. Since 2022, the award, organized in collaboration with ArtVerona, has been promoting the diffusion of sustainability culture through the artistic medium, involving university communities and the territory. In 2019, the Memorandum of Understanding on Green Public Procurement was signed with the Veneto Region, which also involves Unioncamere del Veneto and ARPAV, with the aim of creating positive synergies between institutions operating throughout the regional territory through the establishment of working groups.
