The conference, organized by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (MASE) in collaboration with the Ecolabel and Ecoaudit Committee and the Scuola Superiore S. Anna in Pisa, focused on a number of key issues for business competitiveness, with particular attention to aspects related to eco-design of products and marketing and communication strategies related to environmentally qualified products. Specifically, the conference illustrated the role of voluntary certifications EMAS, Ecolabel and Made Green in Italy in the light of the regulatory changes that had emerged on the EU legislation front, starting with the new regulation on the Ecodesign of products (EU Regulation 2024/1781) and regulations on “Greenwashing.”
