Meet the CSR Leaders 2024: Online and in-person meetings with sustainability leaders

Returning for its twelfth edition at the CSR and Social Innovation Fair is Amapola's project dedicated to university students, now in collaboration with the CSRnatives network.

Milan, June 12, 2024 – How to pursue a career in sustainability? What does it mean to work in this field? This year, the "Meet the CSR Leaders" project returns to the CSR and Social Innovation Fair (Bocconi University, October 9-10-11, 2024), facilitating dialogues between the new generations and sustainability professionals. The initiative is a partnership between the Fair and Amapola, a Benefit Corporation specializing in sustainability and communication. This year’s edition, the third, enhances the format with both online and in-person meetings, thanks to the collaboration with CSRnatives, the first and only network in Italy that unites young professionals and students passionate about CSR.

Meet the CSR Leaders is a space dedicated to university students, including recent graduates, who wish to explore career prospects in sustainability by engaging directly with those working in the field. The meetings include a one-to-one orientation session lasting approximately 30 minutes with an expert present at the Fair. In this stimulating context, attendees can delve into competencies, hard and soft skills, educational and work experiences, and receive guidance on steering their professional paths towards sustainability.

To facilitate participation from students across Italy, the 2024 edition will also include remote meetings scheduled for the final day of the Fair, exclusively for students from universities outside Milan.

The meetings will be held during the following time slots:

• Wednesday, 9/10: In-person from 2 PM to 5 PM
• Thursday, 10/10: In-person from 10 AM to 1 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM
• Friday, 11/10: Remote from 10 AM to 12:30 PM and 2 PM to 3:30 PM

"Meet the CSR Leaders is a concrete opportunity for dialogue between new generations and professionals who are advancing the sustainability transition in their daily work," says Rossella Sobrero, a member of the CSR Fair’s promoting group. "Beyond educational offerings and skills updates, it is important to create spaces for sharing, exchanging, and mutually enriching experiences. This is the goal of the Fair, which is increasingly open to the participation of young people, intergenerational dialogue, and reflection on the future, as evidenced by recent editions. This year, our cultural program will include meetings and roundtables on education, the labor market, evolving skills, and the role of new generations in change, always exploring the contradictions and solutions that characterize sustainability".

The project is now in its third edition. In 2023, the initiative spanned 3 days with 10 hours of one-to-one orientation, involving 50 young participants who met with 23 Sustainability Managers. You can watch interviews with some of the key participants on YouTube at this link.
