During the week leading up to the initiative, a series of informative videos were published on the Instagram page of the student association Sapienza Futura. These videos were created in collaboration with various professors from the university and focused on the reuse, recycling, and disposal of specific types of waste. Additionally, several surveys were conducted to understand the ideas and expectations of hundreds of involved students.

Subsequently, two days were dedicated to students who had the opportunity to collect "difficult-to-dispose-of" items such as electronic devices, exhausted batteries, caps, clothes, and sneakers. During these days, students also met with representatives of partner associations to ask questions and learn more about the disposal methods for various items.

The Sapienza initiative for EWWR 2023 included a morning dedicated to resource management topics, organized by the RUS Resources and Waste Working Group of Sapienza in collaboration with the University's Sustainability Department.

Examples of strategies and awareness actions implemented within the university context were presented to promote greater awareness of the excessive amounts of waste produced and the need for a drastic reduction.
